Costa Mesa’s Eliott Hachac-Flores qualifies for CIF-SS XC finals

RIVERSIDE — Costa Mesa High junior Eliott Hachac-Flores finished ninth in his heat in 15 minutes, 42 seconds in Division 4 Saturday at the Riverside City course.

Hachac-Flores qualified for Saturday’s CIF Finals at Mt. San Antonio College.

The Costa Mesa girls’ team placed 13th in its heat and did not qualify for next week’s finals.

Junior Holly Reiland led the Mustangs, finishing 31st in 19:38.2.

Senior Gabriela Perez (37th, 19:44.5), junior Bridget Devlin (99th, 21:28.6), junior Emily Olvera (106th, 21:48.7) and sophomore Louisse Castillo (122nd, 22:24.8) also competed for Costa Mesa.
