Breakdown: No. 3-seeded Corona del Mar meets Trabuco Hills in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Southwest Division playoffs … Trabuco Hills beat CdM, 28-10, last year in the CIF quarterfinals on its way to the Southwest Division title … CdM comes into Friday night’s game on a five-game winning streak after earning its fourth straight outright Pacific Coast League title with last week’s 58-13 win over Irvine … Garbers has set the school single-season passing touchdown record with 28, and also tied a California state record by completing all 23 of his pass attempts against Irvine. He also set a CIF Southern Section record for most consecutive completions in a game … He had 18 touchdown passes and no interceptions in Pacific Coast League play, half of the touchdown passes going to Bush … CdM is expected to be without right tackle Jake Berkly (knee) and defensive tackle Joe Anderson (suspension) … The Sea Kings, who won three straight Southern Division titles from 2011-13, are 15-1 in the postseason since 2011 … Trabuco Hills qualified into the Southwest Division playoffs by earning one of three at-large berths after finishing tied for second in the five-team Sea View League, but losing the tiebreaker for the league’s second automatic berth to Laguna Hills … The Mustangs lost their last two league games, 48-7 to San Clemente and 35-29 to Laguna Hills … San Clemente is seeded No. 2 in the playoffs … Crosbie is tied for eighth in Orange County with his 17 rushing touchdowns and has scored at least once in each of the Mustangs’ last six games.
