Brendan Hack had three goals for the Sea Kings in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs Wednesday at CdM.
Tamir Avital, Will Rodosky and Foster Hoose all scored twice for CdM (20-8), while Jon Polos, Vincent Ong and Ben Brooks had one goal each.
Matt Moran made nine saves and dished out four assists for CdM, which will play No. 4-seeded Loyola of Los Angeles in the quarterfinals Saturday at 5 p.m. at USC.

Long Beach Wilson 11, Newport Harbor 10 (OT)
LONG BEACH — Connor Turnbow-Lindenstadt had four goals for the Sailors, who lost in sudden-death overtime in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 first-round playoff match Wednesday at Belmont Plaza.
Nic Rimlinger had two goals and Gavin Kunkle (two steals), Cole Brosnan, Ryan Brosnan and Jackson Westerman also scored for Newport Harbor (16-11). Senior goalie Joe Ferraro made 17 big saves.
“Joe was amazing,” Newport Harbor Coach Ross Sinclair said in a text message.
Wilson rallied from a 7-4 fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime, and from a 10-8 deficit after the first three-minute overtime period to force sudden death.
“Unfortunate way to go out for the seniors, but the returning players got a lot of experience this season,” Sinclair said.

Murrieta Valley 20, Estancia 2
MURRIETA — Jason Chesemore scored both goals for the Eagles in Wednesday’s CIF Southern Section Division 3 first-round playoff game on the road.
Eizik Leyva made four saves for Estancia, which finished its season with a 12-17 record.
Murrieta Valley is the top-seeded team in Division 3.

MONTEBELLO — The Mustangs’ season ended in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 3 playoffs on Wednesday.
Costa Mesa finished the season with a 20-9 record.

Ayala 17, Sage Hill 7
CHINO HILLS — The Lightning fell in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs on Wednesday.
Sage Hill had defeated Xavier Prep, 14-7, in a wild-card game Tuesday. The Lightning finish their season with a 14-12 record.
