High School Roundup: Estancia softball wins again

The host Eagles (8-6) hammered out 17 hits to best the Lions (2-9) in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Micaiah Patterson went four for four with a double and a triple. The Eagles first baseman was joined by Jessica Garcia, as each had three RBIs in the contest.
Brittany Walker, Rianne Baesman, and Kalena Shepherd added two hits apiece.
Estancia 14, Westminster 5
The offense continued to roll for Estancia, as the Eagles delivered an 18-hit performance in their second game of the day.
Kalena Shepherd and Micaiah Patterson each had four hits, with the duo combining to drive in seven runs.
Isabelle Morales went 3 for 5 at the dish, and Brittany Walker struck out seven in notching her eighth win of the season.
BOYS’ TENNIS
CdM All-American Tournament
The host Sea Kings lost twice on Saturday to finish eighth in the 16-team tournament.
CdM fell to Arcadia, 7-1, and San Marino, 5-3.
Matt Paulsen won in singles against San Marino, as well as in doubles with Diego Fernandez del Valle. John Hart and Grant Brown also won in doubles.
Palisades beat Harvard-Westlake, 6-3, in the tournament championship match.
