High School Roundup: CdM takes down Northwood in girls’ basketball

Natalia Bruening had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s Pacific Coast League game at CdM.
Krista Anderson had 11 points and nine rebounds for CdM (16-4, 4-1 in league). Tia Grippo scored seven points and Kelly Tam had two three-pointers.
CdM plays host to Woodbridge in a key game Thursday. Woodbridge is also 4-1 in league and the teams split the league title last season.

CYPRESS — Heather Park scored 32 points to lead the Lightning in the Academy League game on Tuesday.
Kate Knollenberg added 10 points for Sage Hill (12-6, 4-2 in league).

Chloe Harbilas had a game-high four goals for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s Pacific Coast League game at home.
Bridgett Storm had three goals for CdM, while Jaleh Moaddeli and Emily Ritner each scored twice. Layne Anzaldo, Sophie Wallace and Abigail Klein also scored.
Sarah Lawson had three assists and three steals for CdM (10-6, 5-0 in league), and Caitlin Harvey had two assists. Heidi Ritner and Erin Tharp each made three saves in goal.
CdM plays host to Woodbridge on Thursday.

Rachael Jaffe and Taylor Magliarditi each scored twice for the Lightning in Tuesday’s Academy League game.
Lexi Magliarditi also scored. Claire Novotny had two assists for Sage Hill, while Olivia Lowe, Lauren Thunen and Janis Jin also had assists.
Sarah Lowey made five saves for Sage Hill (7-4-4, 4-1-1 in league), which plays host to rival St. Margaret’s in a key game at 5 p.m. Friday.
