Four people, including three teenagers, were arrested on suspicion of stealing money from a cash register at a fast food restaurant in Huntington Beach, authorities said Tuesday.

Police responded to a report of a burglary at an Arby’s, 7942 Edinger Ave., at 2:28a.m. Sunday.

A witness told police about suspects breaking a window and going to and from the Arby’s to a car parked behind the restaurant, Huntington Beach police said.

When police arrived, three suspects tried to run but were quickly detained. A fourth suspect was arrested after police found him hiding in a car, police said.

Police said they found a drawer of money from a cash register in the car. It was returned to the owner of the Arby’s.

Police identified one of the suspects as Courvoisier Thompson, a 20-year-old transient.

The other three suspects were not identified because they are juveniles. Two of them are 16 years old and one is 17, all from Compton.
