Trio arrested in Irvine; they’re suspected of stealing packages
Two men and a boy from Corona were arrested Monday after a mail carrier saw them possibly stealing a package from outside an Irvine home, police said.
A U.S. Postal Service worker saw the trio about 3 p.m. and called police with a description of them and the red Ford Expedition they drove, Irvine police said.
An officer pulled over the SUV and confirmed that the occupants were the suspects. Investigators found stolen packages and a stolen credit card in the Expedition, police said.
“Officers determined that the suspects were primarily targeting bank debit and credit card packages,” police said in a news release.
Alejandro Juarez Morales and Vincente Juarez, both 25, were arrested on suspicion of theft, conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to police.
Police did not release additional information about the boy who was arrested.
