Man sought after woman is groped at Irvine bakery

Detectives are asking for help in identifying a man suspected of groping a woman in an Irvine bakery Saturday, according to police.

The woman was in line at 85°C Bakery when the man entered around 7:30 p.m. and intentionally touched her buttocks with his finger and hand, police said.

“The victim and her friend confronted the suspect, who then fled the scene,” police said in a news release.

The man was described as in his 40s with an East Coast accent, about 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, with black hair and a receding hairline. Police said he was wearing a red polo shirt and black pants.
