Snoopy is coming back to town
Costa Mesa City Hall will once again become Snoopy Hall this December.
The 49th year of the “Peanuts”-themed holiday displays, nicknamed Snoopy House, begin their nightly run to the public Dec. 12 and last through Dec. 23.
Snoopy House is open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and also features Santa Claus, live entertainment, free photos for families, a holiday light show and hot cider.
City officials are seeking holiday musical acts and volunteers to paint, decorate and set up the displays.
Costa Mesa-based nonprofit youth groups are also welcome to host fundraising booths for selling drinks and snacks. Times will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested parties can contact Jennifer Christ at (714) 754-5347 or [email protected].
The Snoopy House was at the Eastside Costa Mesa home of Jim and Linda Jordan for decades until 2011, when City Hall volunteered to put the displays on the lawn so the community could continue to enjoy them.
