Members of the Laguna Art Museum can get a sneak preview of the summer art exhibitions Saturday evening when the museum opens for a preview and exclusive reception.

Opening to the public Sunday are “Rex Brandt: In Praise of Sunshine,” a retrospective of the California painter; “John Altoon: Drawings and Prints,” which features the artist’s fine and commercial works; and selections from the museum’s permanent collection, including a few new acquisitions.

The Saturday reception takes place from 6 to 8 p.m., with curators and featured artists among those expected to be present. Members will receive two tickets each. Earlier in the day, members can view the exhibits from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Laguna Coffee Company will host its regular Saturday morning Jazz Jam from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a regular group of musicians and opportunities for members of the public to join them.
