The Marina boys’ basketball program will hold its Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament May 10 at the Huntington Beach Elks Lodge (7711 Talbert Ave. Huntington Beach).

Registration opens at 5 p.m. and first hand will be dealt at 6 p.m. A $100 buy-in $1,000 in chips as well as food and soft drinks. Twenty-dollar re-buys will be available until 8 p.m. Participants must be 21 years of age.

Edison poker tourney

The Edison High third annual Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament, a fundraiser for Edison Athletics and Foundation, will be held April 26 at the Huntington Beach Elks Lodge (7711 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach).

On-site registration is at 5 p.m. and first hand will be dealt at 6 p.m. The cost: $60 buy-in, $30-re-buys. Food and beverages are free and a no-host, full bar also will be available. A silent auction and drawings will be held. The tournament is limited to 250 players and all players must be 21 years of age.

Charity golf tourney

Registration is now open for the ninth annual Baron Football/Michael Musso “Moose Invitational” Golf Tournament presented by the Fountain Valley High Football Boosters.

This year’s event is June 23 at Mile Square Golf Course (10401 Warner Avenue, Fountain Valley). The tournament will consist of a four-person scramble, longest drive contest, closest-to-the-pin contest, and a putting contest.

The cost is $150 per golfer and includes green fees, cart fees, practice range, door prizes, gift bags, buffet lunch and banquet dinner.

The annual event helps raise money for the Fountain Valley High Baron football program and the Michael Musso Memorial Fund. Musso, a 2004 graduate of Fountain Valley High, lost his life in a car accident July 29, 2005. Through this fundraiser a scholarship is given to a four-year Baron football player each year.

Splashball at HB High

Huntington Beach Water Polo Club is accepting registration for its 12-week Splashball program.

The program is open to youth ages six to 14 and will be conducted at the Huntington Beach High pool.

The cost is $175 per player and participants will be taught water and ocean safety skills and the fundamentals skills and rules of swimming and water polo.

Marina hoops camp

Marina High boys’ basketball will run a Little Kids Camp June 23-26 and July 21-24 at the school’s gymnasium.

Both four-day sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The camps are open to youth ages seven to 13.
