Sage Hill competes in Hawaii

The Sage Hill School girls’ volleyball team opened the prestigious Ann Kang Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a 1-2 record in a best-of-three summer format on Thursday.
Huntington Beach swept Sage Hill, 25-14, 25-21, and Honolulu Moanalua beat Sage Hill, 25-20, 30-32, 15-19, before the Lightning topped Hawaii Baptist, 25-22, 25-19.
Halland McKenna, an incoming junior outside hitter, led the Lightning with 28 kills during the first day and incoming junior opposite Kekai Whitford recorded 26 kills.
Juliette Singarella had 10 kills for the Lightning.
