Weber State 65, UC Irvine 51
OGDEN, Utah — Daman Starring scored 15 points for the Anteaters in the nonconference game at the Dee Events Center Saturday night.
Adam Folker had six points and eight rebounds for UCI (4-6) as the Anteaters lost for the fifth time in their last six games.
Alex Young and Will Davis II also scored six points each, with Davis and Michael Wilder snaring six boards apiece. Wilder hit a three late in the first half to tie Chris Brown for fourth all-time at UCI with 170 career threes.
The Wildcats (4-2) won their 20th straight home game, the fourth-longest streak in the nation.
UCI plays at Fresno State Saturday night at 7.

Vanguard 67, Chapman 59
ORANGE — Taylor Kelly scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Lions to the nonconference win Saturday at Chapman.
Preston Wynne added 13 points and Chris Gorman scored 11 points for Vanguard (7-4). Kelly hit three of three from three-point range, while Wynne was three for seven on his three-pointers.
The Lions led, 31-29, at halftime.
Chapman is 3-3.
Vanguard plays at West Coast Baptist in Lancaster Friday at 7:30 p.m.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Cal State Bakersfield 71, UC Irvine 64
IRVINE — Camille Buckley recorded her first double-double with a career-high 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Anteaters in the nonconference game Sunday. It is the first double-double for an Anteater player this year.
Buckley, a forward, was seven for 10 from the floor and four for six from the free-throw line. She also added two blocks.
Junior guard Jennifer Tsurumoto added 15 points. She tied her career-high with five assists. Forwards Methlyn Onogomuho and Jasmine Bernard had eight points each, while guard Anete Klintsone came off the bench to total seven points for UCI (2-7).
The Roadrunners (2-7) outscored the Anteaters, 13-6, in the final three minutes.
UCI will take the week off for finals and resume action Dec. 18 at Utah State.
