Women’s Soccer: UCI trio makes first team

UC Irvine seniors Dana Sanderlin and Rachel Wood, along with junior Natalia Ledezma were named to the All-Big West Conference first team Wednesday.

Sanderlin has scored three goals and dished out three assists. Wood has scored five goals, which is tied for the team lead, to go with one assist. Ledezma has three goals and a team-high five assists.

UCI freshman goalkeeper Corey Tobin, who has 15 saves and three shutouts, made the second team and Haley O’Brien was named to the inaugural All-Freshman team.

The Anteaters (9-8-3) will play host to Cal State Fullerton in a Big West Tournament semifinal Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Titans Coach Demian Brown was named the Big West Coach of the Year.
