VU’s Chapman lauded

Vanguard University senior Alex Chapman has been named All-Golden State Athletic Conference in men’s basketball.

Chapman, a 6-foot-9 forward-center, led the Lions in scoring (14.6 per game) and rebounding (7.9) as they finished 6-22, 4-16 in conference.

Chapman played in all 28 games, making 27 starts.

Vanguard junior Billy Thompson, senior Drew Burns and junior Cameron Nettles were named GSAC scholar-athletes.

Concordia senior guard Justin Johnson, a transfer from UC Irvine, repeated as GSAC Player of the Year.
