Zach Chavez had one hit and two RBIs. Starter Ryan Doran improved to 2-0 after striking out nine and allowing five hits and one run in eight innings.

IRVINE — Tayler Champion posted a career-high 25 points for the Anteaters in the Big West Conference game Thursday.
UCI improves to 14-11 overall and 6-7 in the Big West, while the Tigers fall to 7-18 on the year and 4-8 in the Big West.
Kassandra McAllister had 14 points and Jade Smith-Williams added 13 points for UCI (14-11, 6-7 in conference).

AZUSA – Molly Pfohl scored 19 points to lead the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Thursday.
Veronica Beavor had 14 points and Allison Burns added 10 points for Vanguard (15-9, 11-7 in conference).
The Cougars are 23-4, 15-2.
