Dillon Persinger, a product of Fountain Valley High and Golden West College who helped Cal State Fullerton reach the College World Series, has signed with the Cleveland Indians organization.

Persinger, chosen in the 18th round (No. 552 overall) in the MLB Draft earlier this month, has been assigned to the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in Niles, Ohio, the Indians’ short-season single-A affiliate in the New York-Penn League.

A junior who played first base and second base, Persinger earned first-team All-Big West Conference honors in his only season with the Titans.
