Ocean View’s Do, Isogawa recognized in Golden West League boys’ water polo

Ocean View High senior Kenny Do and junior Daniel Isogawa have earned first-team All-Golden West League honors in boys’ water polo after helping the Seahawks secure second place in league.

Do, a utility player who would play center and center defender, had team-best totals of 107 goals and 58 drawn exclusions, also dishing out 32 assists.

Isogawa, an attacker, had 47 goals as well as 51 assists for coach Melissa Fernandez’s Seahawks.

Ocean View finished 15-11 and 5-2 in league. The Seahawks advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs, beating Hacienda Heights Wilson 12-6 in the first round before losing at eventual champion Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon 20-11 in the second round.

Ocean View senior Quinn Bosselman and junior goalie Nico Falcon earned second-team accolades.

Jose Barajas, a junior from league champion Segerstrom, was named the Golden West League MVP.
