Corona del Mar High shortstop J.T. Schwartz took home the Pacific Coast League MVP award, and Chazz Martinez was the Pitcher of the Year after the two juniors lifted the Sea Kings to their first baseball league championship in 11 years.

Schwartz and Martinez are on the first team with two teammates, junior center fielder Preston Hartsell and Alex Shadid, a senior second baseman and pitcher. The quartet led CdM (20-7, 12-3 in league) to the CIF Southern Section playoffs for the third consecutive year.

The Sea Kings lost in eight innings to Chino Hills Ayala 8-3 in a Division 2 first-round game at home.
