UC Irvine senior forward Laura McGrail, a repeat honoree, leads five Anteaters named All-Big West Conference in women’s soccer.

McGrail, who led the Anteaters (7-9-3. 3-4-1 in conference) with 10 goals and added three assists, was joined on the first team by senior teammate Cami Privett.

Privett, who received honorable mention in 2013, had two goals and four assists to help UCI finish tied for fifth, just shy of one of the four spots in the postseason conference tournament.

Clarissa Robles, a junior defender, was named to the second team. She had a team-best eight assists, which ranked third among conference players in the regular season. She also helped UCI record three shutouts.

McGrail’s 10 goals were more than double the second-leading goal producer on the team and she had four game-winning goals. She finished tied for the second among conference players in regular-season goals.

Forward Kiana Palacios and midfielder Alex Karlowitsch were named to the All-Freshman team.

Palacios had four goals and one assist, while Karlowitsch had one goal and five assists.

Karlowitsch, senior midfielder Jenna Pellegrino, senior utility player Bianca Frontino and senior defender Alana Sooy received honorable mention.
