In the doubles championship Saturday, current UCLA players Mackenzie McDonald and Martin Redlicki outlasted current Florida State player Benjamin Lock and former Seminole Jean Yves-Aubone, 6-2, 3-6, 10-5.
The United States Tennis Assn. Pro Circuit event is part of the “futures” developmental tour of the USTA. The pro circuit tour travels to Laguna Niguel this week for a $10,000 event, and to Tiburon for a $100,000 challenger. The main draw for each tournament begins Wednesday. Escobedo is competing in Laguna Niguel.
