High Schoool Football: Sage Hill falls to Classical Academy

Beau Roth rushed for 203 yards on 20 carries and Robbie Rosoff threw three touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough for host Sage Hill School, which lost, 28-21, to Escondido Classical Academy in a nonleague football game Friday night.

Rosoff completed five of his 12 passes for 110 yards, and had one interception.

Vince Whetmore, Will Burns and Sam Masarik caught one touchdown pass each for the Lightning (2-3).

Alfonso Corona led the Sage Hill defense with 13 tackles, while Roth had nine tackles.

The Lightning play host to Silver Valley Friday at 7 p.m.
