Senior goalkeeper Michael Breslin made six saves to preserve the shutout in the nonconference game on Sunday at UC Irvine.

Mats Bjurman had three shots to pace the Anteaters (1-2-2), who were outshot, 13-8, by the Aztecs (3-0-2).

Vanguard 2,

Antelope Valley 0

Madison Lopp had a goal and an assist and Ashley McCutcheon assisted on both goals for the host Lions in the nonconference contest on Tuesday.

Lopp scored in the eighth minute with assists from McCutcheon and Nicole Dunn.

The No. 12-ranked Lions (5-1), tacked on with an Alex Bachman tally in the 25th minute, assisted by McCutcheon and Lopp.

Vanguard had 13 of the game’s 14 shots and neither Lions goalkeeper was required to make a save.

Antelope Valley is 1-4.

Orange Coast 2,

Saddleback 2

Sydnee Busby had a goal and an assist for the host Pirates, who erased a two-goal deficit in the Orange Empire Conference opener Tuesday.

Busby scored with an assist from Ana Villanueva in the 41st minute, then assisted Cori Haney’s equalizer in the 60th minute.

OCC (1-2-2) received four saves from Odalis Elias.

Saddleback is 4-0-1.

Washington 2,

UC Irvine 0

The Huskies scored in the fifth minute and added on in the 58th minute of the nonconference game on Sunday in Portland.

Noel Baham had a team-best two shots for UCI (3-4-1), which was outshot, 10-6, by the Huskies (6-1-0), who are now ranked No. 25.
