Class of 2015 wins CdM Alumni Basketball Tournament

The Class of 2015 won the 27th annual Jack Errion Alumni Basketball Tournament Saturday at Corona del Mar High School.

Featuring threee members of this past year’s CIF Southern Section Division IIIA runner-up squad, including Austin Ridge, Charlie Coffman and Bo St. Geme, the team won the final against a team of players from the 1980’s and 90’s.

Former Sea King standouts Rob and Mike Hess did their best to keep the 80’s/90’s team in the game, but a barrage of three-pointers from the recent graduates was too much to overcome.

In the semifinals, the class of 2015 got past last year’s tournament champ, a joint team featuring players from the classes of 2007 and 2011, while the 80’s/90’s team defeated the class of 1999.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament are being donated to the Eastbluff Boys and Girls Club.
