NBLL All-Stars keep winning

The Newport Beach Little League 10-year-old All-Stars started off the Section 10 tournament with an impressive 11-0 victory over East Anaheim Little League on Wednesday at Modjeska Park in Anaheim.

Luca Curci and Dustin Miller pitched well, allowing only one hit and striking out seven batters over four innings.

Newport scored all of its runs in the third inning with aggressive base running and some timely hitting by Den Daniel, Dustin Miller, Cameron Maloney and Hogan Daniel.

Pete Daniel and Nate Chambliss shined defensively.

The Newport Beach All-Stars move on to face Ocean View Little League Friday at Modjeska Park in Anaheim with the winner headed to the championship game.
