Ex-Buc Hill drafted by Rockies
Former Orange Coast College pitcher David Hill was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the fourth round (107th overall) of the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday.

At OCC, Hill posted an 11-1 record with a 1.67 ERA, with 109 strikeouts in 113 innings. The 2014 Co-Pitcher of the Year in the Orange Empire Conference, Hill helped the Pirates post a 36-9 record and win the first of back-to-back state championships.
He was a second-team All-American for OCC.
As a freshman at Long Beach State, Hill went 4-2 with a 4.05 ERA.
Hill was the Century League Pitcher of the Year after going 4-2 with a 1.37 ERA for El Modena High.
