College Roundup: UCI’s Aikhionbare finishes 14th

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — UC Irvine junior Itos Aikhionbare finished 14th in the shotput with a mark of 51 feet, 8 1/2 inches to highlight Anteaters competing on Thursday.

Aikhionare was not among the top 12 who advanced to the NCAA Championships, June 11-14, in Eugene, Ore.

She competes Friday in the discus throw that begins at 1 p.m. Aikhionbare set the school record this season with a mark of 170-2.
