Corona del Mar 15, Huntington Beach 3
Jordan Greenhall produced three goals, two assists and two ground balls for the No. 2-seeded Sea Kings in the opening round of the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section South Division playoffs at home on Tuesday.
CdM, ranked No. 1 in the state by laxpower.com, improved to 17-0.
The Sea Kings play host to No. 7 San Clemente in the next round at home on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

MISSION VIEJO — The Sailors’ season ended on the road in the first round of the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section South Division playoffs on Tuesday.
Newport Harbor (11-7), seeded No. 11, saw its nine-game winning streak end at No. 6 Trabuco Hills.

Foothill 12, Newport Harbor 1
SANTA ANA — The No. 15-seeded Sailors fell on the road to the No. 2 Knights in the first round of the U.S. Lacrosse Southern Section South Division playoffs on Tuesday.
Newport Harbor, which shared the Century SE League title, finished the season 9-8.

SOFTBALL
Costa Mesa 7, Estancia 6
The Mustangs edged the rival Eagles in the second Battle for the Bell game Tuesday at Costa Mesa High.
Anessa Farldow was two for four with a two-run triple for Costa Mesa (7-11, 4-3 in league), which moved into third place in league. Brenna Alvis, Ariana Morales and Kanani Asuega also all had two hits for Mesa.
Alvis and Haley Sheffner made multiple diving plays to aid the Mustangs’ cause and Farldow, the catcher, threw out a runner at third, Coach Heather Orduna said.
Estancia is in fourth place in league at 11-8, 3-4.
Costa Mesa plays host to Godinez on Thursday, while Estancia is at Laguna Beach.

BOYS’ TENNIS
Newport Harbor 9, Fountain Valley 9
(Newport Harbor wins on games, 83-74)
Reese Stalder swept at No. 1 singles as the Sailors edged their Sunset League finale Monday at Newport Harbor High.
Stalder finished the regular season 53-0. David Lee and Mark Schaefer won twice in doubles Monday, as did David Schaefer and Andy Myers.
Newport Harbor (17-3, 8-2 in league) finished second in league.
The Sailors compete at Sunset League finals beginning Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Huntington Beach High. Stalder is the top seed in singles.

SANTA ANA — The Eagles closed out Orange Coast League play at 1-9 after Saddleback won the regular-season finale, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23, on Tuesday.
