CERRITOS — Brett Super lived up to his last name once again.

The sophomore was perfect for Sage Hill School, striking out 12 of the 15 batters he faced in a 12-0 win at Whitney that ended in the fifth inning because of the 10-run mercy rule on Tuesday.

Super kept his overall record and Sage Hill’s record in Academy League play perfect. Super improved to 7-0 and Sage Hill is 11-0, one win away from completing its first undefeated league championship.

Super lowered his earned-run average to 0.94 and now has 77 strikeouts in 52 innings.

Super went two for three with three runs batted in and a double against Whitney.

Parker Reposa was three for four with an RBI and a double for the Lightning, while Cole Tait was two for four with two RBIs.
