Former Mr. Irrelevant to introduce new Mr. Irrelevant

The NFL Draft began Thursday in Chicago with Jameis Winston going first overall, but who will be the last player chosen on the final day of the draft?

Mr. Irrelevant will be revealed Saturday by a former Mr. Irrelevant, Chandler Harnish, the dead-last pick in 2012. The backup quarterback recently signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals, and when it’s time to announce this year’s Mr. Irrelevant, Harnish will do so from the Cardinals’ University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

The Cardinals have this year’s final pick, No. 256, and what better way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Irrelevant Week than with another underdog introducing the latest.

Harnish can tell Mr. Irrelevant what to expect when Mr. Irrelevant visits Newport Beach in July. Mr. Irrelevant is treated like the No. 1 pick, with a trip to Disneyland, gifts, his own banquet and roast.

Irrelevant Week, part of the Foundation for the Undefeated, is set for July 7-12.
