IRVINE — Kellen Ochi singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning and recorded the save, helping the visiting Lightning improve to 9-0 in Academy League play on Tuesday.

Sage Hill, ranked No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Division 6 poll, can clinch at least a share of the league title on Friday with a win at home against No. 1 Crean Lutheran (5-2 in league). First pitch is at 3:15 p.m.

Ochi, who went two for four with a run batted in, pitched a scoreless seventh, striking out the last batter with the bases loaded.

Parker Reposa went three for four with an RBI and a double for Sage Hill (14-6 overall).

Brett Super (6-0) struck out three in six innings.

STUDIO CITY — Seniors Max Kline and Nino Chavez recorded three goals apiece for the visiting Sea Kings, who improved to 15-0 on Tuesday.

Jason Simaan won 11 faceoffs for CdM, ranked No. 1 in the state by laxpower.com.

Goalie Hoyt Crance made seven saves.

Ben Palitz and Hugh Crance finished with three and two ground balls, respectively.

The Sea Kings close out the regular season at home against Huntington Beach on Friday at 4 p.m.
