IRVINE — Kellen Ochi singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning and recorded the save, helping the visiting Lightning improve to 9-0 in Academy League play on Tuesday.
Sage Hill, ranked No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Division 6 poll, can clinch at least a share of the league title on Friday with a win at home against No. 1 Crean Lutheran (5-2 in league). First pitch is at 3:15 p.m.
Ochi, who went two for four with a run batted in, pitched a scoreless seventh, striking out the last batter with the bases loaded.
Parker Reposa went three for four with an RBI and a double for Sage Hill (14-6 overall).
Brett Super (6-0) struck out three in six innings.
