Corona del Mar High junior forward Matt Ctvrtlik earned All-CIF Southern Section Division 3A accolades, the only local boys’ basketball player to make All-CIF.

Ctvrtlik, who came off the bench, sparked CdM to an undefeated Pacific Coast League title, a CIF Southern Section Division 3A runner-up finish and the CIF State Southern California Regional Division III quarterfinals. The Sea Kings (25-8, 10-0 in league) recorded their most wins in Coach Ryan Schachter’s nine seasons at the helm and first state postseason win in 15 years.

Ctvrtlik averaged 9.5 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. He shot 76.2% from the free-throw line and 41% from behind the arc.
