Girls’ Soccer: Holland, Zachry on first team for Newport Harbor

Newport Harbor senior midfielder Toni Holland and senior defender Brooke Zachry have earned first-team All-Sunset League honors for girls’ soccer.

Holland and Zachry, co-captains along with senior defender Melisa Camano, helped the Sailors go 6-17-1 overall, and 3-6-1 in league. They finished fifth in the league and failed to qualify for the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.

Individual season statistics were not available.

Camano and sophomore forward Sianna Siemonsma earned second-team All-Sunset League honors for Newport Harbor.

Darcy Weiser of league champion Huntington Beach earned league MVP honors. Sawyer Koelsch of Huntington Beach was named Most Outstanding Attacker, and Danielle Thomas of Edison the Most Outstanding Defender.
