Bjorn Hoffmann swept in singles for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League match at home.
Matt Paulsen and Grant Brown swept in doubles for CdM (6-3, 2-0 in league), and seniors Jonathan Rhone and Blake Fesco won twice in doubles.
CdM plays host to league rival University on Tuesday.

LOS ALAMITOS — Sailors senior Reese Stalder swept 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles in Thursday’s Sunset League opener on the road.
Stalder earned a 6-3 win over Los Al’s top player, Riley Smith. Mark Schaefer and David Lee won twice in doubles, and David Schaefer and Andy Myers also won a doubles set.
Newport Harbor is 8-2, 0-1 in league.

Corona del Mar 76, Irvine 51
Kirsten Hansen won the 800-meter run and was part of the victorious 4x400 relay for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League meet Thursday.
Morgan Simon won the 100 in 13.3 seconds, while Jacqueline Choe (11:35.5 in the 3,200), Jillian Beese (triple jump, 32 feet, 5 inches), Victoria Rihm (high jump, 5-0), Amanda Cooper (discus, 108-3) and Marka King (shot put, 32-7) were also winners for CdM.
Nicole Lloyd, Lilly Schmidt and Elin Wolker were also on the winning 4x400 relay that finished in 4:25.6.

Los Alamitos 82, Newport Harbor 55
Senior Erin Barth and junior Rachelle A La Torre won two events each for the Sailors in the Sunset League meet Thursday at Newport Harbor.
Barth won the 800 meters in 2:28.6 and the 1,600 in 5:30.1.
A La Torre won the shot put with a mark of 37-6 ½ and the discus (117-5).
Junior Grace Clemence won the pole vault (10-0), while senior Hope Bender won the 100 hurdles (14.8) and placed second in the 200 (personal-best 25.3).
Bender’s time in the 200 is also a school record, breaking Amy Burlingham’s mark of 25.44.

Parker Nostrand won the 400-meter run and the 800 to help lead the Sea Kings to the Pacific Coast League win Thursday.
Nostrand won the 400 in 52.2 and the 800 in 2:02.5.
Barrett Barbato won the 100 in 11.5, while Charlie Blower 23.1 in the 200), Leif Hellgren (4:39.8 in the 1,600), Thomas Robertson (10:26.1 in the 3,200), Silviu Bocancea (shot put, 48-7 ½) and Mason Crane (discus, 128-5) were also winners for CdM.
Barbato, Sutton Barbato, Andrew Aysopal and Danny Giger won the 4x100 relay in 44.2.

Sophomore Cole Smith won the shot put (49-6) and the discus (150-5) events for the Sailors in the Sunset League meet Thursday at Newport Harbor.
Sophomore Ryan Fegan won the pole vault (12-6) for Newport Harbor.
The Sailors are back in action on Saturday at The Beach Cities Invitational and the Azusa Distance Carnival/Meet of Champions.

The Eagles collected 15 hits, including triples by Felicia Rios and Kalena Shepard, in Thursday’s nonleague game at Estancia High.
