Quartet make Orange County all-star girls’ lacrosse roster

Corona del Mar High sophomores Jensen Coop and Kennedy Mulvaney, as well as Newport Harbor junior Rylie Siegfried and sophomore Katie Hendrix, have each been selected for the 2005 Girls’ OC U.S. Lacrosse National Team.

The four local players will represent Orange County in the U.S. Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament, to be held in Bethlehem, Pa. May 23-24.

Coop and Mulvaney are both midfielders for CdM, while Siegfried is a midfielder and team captain for the Sailors and Hendrix plays midfield and attack.

The Orange County team, which has 22 players, will be led by Coach Dave Elkins of Aliso Niguel. It will compete against 60 other regional all-star teams from around the country.
