The host Lions prevailed in the opener of a three-game Golden State Athletic conference series on Friday.
Justin Vega and Kevin Bettencourt both went two for three with two runs batted in and Brock Eissman was two for four with two runs for the Lions (19-11, 13-9 in conference).
Sean Isaac allowed three runs on five hits and struck out six in seven innings to claim the win and improve to 4-2.
Sam Frakes worked a scoreless ninth to post his fifth save.
Biola is 18-16, 8-14.

Orange Coast 7, Golden West 6
Ariel Fernandez went three for four with four runs batted in and doubled in the game-winner in the eighth to propel the host Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.
Kellie Tiner was three for four and pitched a complete game to earn the victory for OCC (4-16, 2-7 in conference).
Golden West (6-16, 2-7), led, 6-2, heading into the bottom of the seventh, before OCC rallied to force extra innings.
Lorraina Gonzalez was two for four with three runs for OCC.
