Boys’ Tennis: Hoffmann headed to Cal

Corona del Mar High boys’ tennis junior Bjorn Hoffmann has verbally committed to play at Cal, CdM Coach Jamie Gresh said Tuesday.

Hoffmann is ranked No. 3 in Southern California in the boys’ 18s by the United States Tennis Assn. He’s a three-year varsity player and in his second year at No. 1 singles for CdM.

Hoffmann is the son of former UC Irvine standout Carsten Hoffmann.
