Ryan Lether delivered a complete-game performance with five strikeouts, giving up five hits and one earned run for the Mustangs in the Newport Elks Tournament game Thursday.

Lether also went one for two with two runs batted in. Dominic Santos (two for three), James Barton (one for two with a single, one run scored), Grady Connor (one for three with a double and one run scored), Christian Large (one for two) and Jimmy Solano (RBI and walk) also contributed for Costa Mesa.

BOYS’ GOLF

Newport Harbor 210, Aliso Niguel 212

Landon Knight and Reid Pfeiffer both shot 41 for the Sailors in the nonleague match at Santa Ana Country Club Thursday.

Aliso Niguel’s Alex Fedecky was the medalist with 37.

Noah Mayne (42), Parker Young (42) and Luke Shea (44) also scored for Newport Harbor

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

San Clemente def. Newport Harbor

Cole Pender had 11 kills for the Sailors, but San Clemente won the nonleague match, 22-25, 25-21, 26-24, 25-15 Thursday.

Grady Kimme had 10 kills for Newport Harbor (0-2).
