Men’s Basketball: OCC’s Hagger leads way in All-OEC honors
Orange Coast College freshman Davasyia Hagger has been named first-team All-Orange Empire Conference in men’s basketball.
The 6-foot-6 forward, who earned first-team all-conference honors in football as a receiver last fall, averaged 14.1 points and 8.9 rebounds and shot 52.1% from the field to help the Pirates (8-16, 6-6 in conference) finish third in the OEC.
Hagger led the conference in rebounding, was second in scoring and fourth in field-goal percentage.
Former UC Irvine player Connor Clifford, a sophomore at Saddleback, was named Player of the Year. Clifford led conference players in scoring (14.4) and field-goal percentage (63.5%) and was fourth with 6.1 rebounds per game.
Saddleback’s Andy Ground, who guided the Gauchos to the title, was named Coach of the Year.
