Riley Holsinger scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, to go with six assists and three steals for the No. 9-ranked Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.
Amber Alexander (nine rebounds) and Samantha Doucette added 14 points each for Vanguard (19-5, 11-3 in conference).
Hope International is 16-11, 7-6.

DeAngelo Jones scored 32 points to lead the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.
Zach Allmon added 17 points and Chris Gorman scored 10 points for Vanguard (15-12, 7-7 in conference).
Hope International is 23-2, 11-2.

Fresno State 7, UC Irvine 5
FRESNO — The visiting Anteaters saw a 5-0 lead vanish when the Bulldogs scored two in the seventh and five in the eighth to sweep the three-game nonconference series Sunday.
Senior starting pitcher Evan Manarino struck out nine in six shutout innings, before exiting the game and watching his would-be win erased by three relievers.
Sean Sparling allowed four runs on six hits in 1 1/3 innings, then Michael Agramonte was charged with two runs on two hits in 1/3 of an inning to absorb the loss.
Sophomore Jonathan Brontsema was two for two with a home run and two runs batted in, while sophomore Andrew Martinez homored for the third time this season and freshman Keston Hiura launched his second homer of the series.
UCI visits Cal for a four-game nonconference series beginning Friday at 7 p.m.

Peg Barnard Invitational
STANFORD — UC Irvine sophomore Kaley In finished sixth in the event completed Sunday at the Stanford Golf Course.
In shot two-over-par 73 on Sunday. Her career-best 69 in the first round helped her compile a two-round total par total of 142.
Freshman Camille Wagg also cracked the top 50 for the Anteaters by finishing 43rd at 154.
UCI was 11th among 12 teams, 38 strokes behind victorious Oregon.
The ‘Eaters play host to the UC Irvine Invitational, Feb. 23-24 at the Santa Ana Country Club.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
UC Irvine 4, UC Davis 3
Sarah Gong and Arisha Ladhani won in singles and combined to win in doubles to help the host Anteaters prevail in a Big West Conference match Monday.
Gong earned a 7-6, 6-1, triumph at No. 1 singles and Ladhani topped her No. 2 singles opponent, 6-2, 6-2, to help UCI improve to 5-2, 1-0 in conference.
Gong and Ladhani won, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles.
Kat Facey and Ali Facey won at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively, for UCI.
UC Davis fell to 3-6, 1-2.

ALISO VIEJO — Senior Joi Goynes finished second in the 60-meter dash in 7.82 seconds to pace the Lions on Saturday.
Sophomore Bayleigh Porter was third in the mile with a time of five minutes, 26.33 seconds.

ALISO VIEJO — Sophomore Jerome Grant was third in the men’s 60-meter hurdles to highlight the Lions on Saturday.
Grant shaved his personal best more than half a second to 8.76 seconds. He also posted a personal-best in the 200, finishing in 23.36 seconds and his 400 split in the 1,600 relay was a career-best 52.2 to help the quartet post a season-best time of 3 minutes, 29.10 seconds.
Sophomore Christian Mora was third in the 800 in 2:00.11, a personal best. He also ran 1:58.6 for his 800 split in the distance medley relay in which Vanguard finished third in 10:26.41.
