RIVERSIDE — Senior goalie Carlee Kapana matched a season high with 19 saves in Friday’s nonleague game.

Chanel Schilling had four goals, an assist and a steal for Newport Harbor (21-6). Ellie Reid had three goals and an assist, while Kate Pipkin scored on two penalty shots. Emma Erickson, Katie Kearns, Kate Yasko, Rachel Whitelegge and Sammie Garcia added single goals.

Newport Harbor, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, awaits the release of the Division 1 playoff brackets Sunday at 9 a.m.

Corona del Mar 9, Cathedral Catholic 1

SAN DIEGO — Maddie Musselman had five goals and two steals for the Sea Kings in Friday’s nonleague game at Cathedral Catholic High.

Eliza Britt scored twice and Jaleh Moaddeli (two assists) and Bridgett Storm added goals for CdM (21-6), ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division 1.

Heidi Ritner had 12 saves and two assists for the Sea Kings, who await the release of the Division 1 playoff brackets Sunday at 9 a.m.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Estancia 66, Santa Ana 56

Evan Pettingill scored 28 points, including 16 in the second half, with five three-pointers for the Eagles in the nonleague game Friday night.

Tyler Van Dyke added 17 points, with three three-pointers, for Estancia (9-17).

Julian Fadden was a key contributor off the bench for the Eagles.
