CdM seventh-graders win league title

Cal Whitney scored 22 points, including five three-pointers, to help lead the Corona del Mar seventh-grade boys’ basketball team to the Coastal Athletic League championship after a 43-23 win over Harbor Day Thursday.

CdM drained 11 three-pointers as a team.

Troy Smith added 14 points with four three-pointers.

CdM, coached by Nick Flamson, used a strong defensive effort to grab the win.
