Corona del Mar 20, Irvine 1
Maddie Musselman had five goals and two steals for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League game at home.
Sarah Lawson had four goals and two assists for CdM (12-5, 7-0 in league), and Eliza Britt had three goals, three assists and two steals. Shannon Frome and Grace Morgan each scored twice.
Sami Pratt, Bridgett Storm, Emily Ritner and Kaylee Albright (four ejections drawn) all scored once. Heidi Ritner made five saves, and Erin Tharp had three.
CdM, ranked No. 4 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays host to No. 6 San Marcos in a key nonleague game Saturday at 10 a.m.

Corona del Mar 59, Irvine 20
Junior Natalia Bruening had 18 points and 12 rebounds for CdM in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League game at home.
Senior guard Brianna Westrup had 13 points and five steals for CdM (15-7, 4-2 in league). Junior guard Kelly Tam had eight points, three assists and two three-pointers made.
CdM plays at first-place Woodbridge in a key league game Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Senior guard Hannah Doolin scored nine points, including a three-pointer, for the Sailors in Thursday’s Sunset League home game.
Senior guard Alexis Jimenez scored five points for Newport Harbor (7-13, 0-6 in league).
Newport Harbor plays at Marina on Wednesday.

SANTA ANA – Finley Garnett scored 18 points to lead Estancia in the Orange Coast League game Thursday at Calvary Chapel.
Maya Van Den Heever added 16 points, including one three-pointer for Estancia (11-7, 5-0 in league).

Corona del Mar 3, Irvine 2
Blake Munger scored the game-winner with about 10 minutes left for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.
Evan Schwartz scored for CdM and Alex Rihm had the assist to Munger.
Kyle Martin scored for CdM (3-2-1 in league) after Irvine had gone up 2-1. Brendan Hueston had the assist.
Hagen Truninger made three saves for CdM.

Junior Matt Ctvrtlik came off the bench and scored 16 points for the host Sea Kings, who remained undefeated in Pacific Coast League play on Thursday night.
Sam Kobrine finished with 13 points, while Kevin Fults had nine for CdM (16-6, 6-0 in league).
The Sea Kings, ranked No. 4 in the CIF Southern Section Division 3A poll, play at Woodbridge on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
