High School Roundup: CdM wrestling team sixth at Troy

Troy Wrestling Classic
FULLERTON — Corona del Mar High’s Chris Croxton (128 pounds), Kaden Ebbinga (154) were champs and Adam Reines (140) took third to lead the Sea Kings to a sixth-place finish at Troy High.
Croxton finished first with a 9-2 victory in the finals over his opponent from Sonora High.
Ebbinga won his gold medal with a 3-0 victory over Servite in the finals.
Reines took home an additional medal with his victory in the third-place match.
Sophomore Garrett Cleary (285 pounds) went 2-2, just missing a medal but contributed to the scoring.

BOYS’ SOCCER
Sage Hill 1, Crean Lutheran 0 (OT)
Noah Koumas scored a goal on a long shot that was deflected off two defenders to help keep the Lightning unbeaten Saturday.
Will Burns and Gordon Strelow played excellent defense for Sage Hill (7-0-1, 5-0-0 in Academy League).
Goalie Adam Elligson had a crucial save shortly after Sage scored which helped Sage preserve the win.

Sage Hill 60, Crean Lutheran 50
Kirshan Tarsadia scored 23 points for the Lightning in the Academy League game Saturday.
Tyler Hague added 13 points and Jack Williamson finished with 10 points for Sage Hill (12-5, 4-1 in league), which plays at St. Margaret’s Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Meg Crade scored for the Lightning in the Academy League match Saturday.
Paige Burke had the assist in the 5th minute.
Goalkeeper Kekai Whitford made nine saves for Sage Hill (7-5-2, 3-1-0 in league).
The Lightning play host to rival St. Margaret’s Friday at 5 p.m.
