Lexi Magliarditi set the program single-game record with nine goals in the Lightning’s Academy League romp Tuesday at home.

Claire Novotny, Paige Burke, Sahale Greenwood, Kayla Gratzer and Tiffany Taylor added goals for the Lightning (2-0 in league). Burke had five assists, Novotny three and Lauren Thunen one.

Sage Hill plays at Whitney on Thursday at 3 p.m.

Senior midfielder Shelby Brown scored in the 70th minute to lift the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Tuesday night at Estancia High.

Second-half goalie Skyler Gullick made one save for CdM (8-5, 2-0 in league), which plays host to University on Thursday.

Coach Jessica Perry said Estancia allowed no shots on goal in Tuesday’s Orange Coast League opener Tuesday at home.

Estancia (11-2-2, 0-0-1 in league) plays host to rival Costa Mesa on Thursday at 5 p.m.

Sage Hill 71, Calvary Chapel Downey 33

Chance Brooks led four Lightning players in double-figures with 12 points in the Academy League home game Tuesday.

Chance Kuehnel (11), Mario Nark (10) and CJ McCord (10) also led the hosts (10-4, 1-1 in league).

Sage visits Whitney on Thursday.

Estancia 65, Calvary Chapel 27

Finley Garnett had 10 points and Maya Van Den Heever added 10 for the host Eagles in their Orange Coast League opener on Tuesday.

Slade Garnett and Eliza Jason had eight points apiece for the Eagles (9-7).

Estancia plays host to crosstown rival Costa Mesa on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Calvary Chapel Downey 59, Sage Hill 54

Senior guard Elizabeth Alvarez scored 16 points for the Lightning in Tuesday’s Academy League game at home.

Senior Kendra Hall and freshman Kate Knollenberg each scored eight for Sage Hill (7-9, 0-2 in league), which plays at Whitney on Thursday.

Bridgett Storm had five goals for the Sea Kings in Tuesday’s Pacific Coast League game at CdM.

Maddie Musselman added four goals for CdM (6-3, 3-0 in league). Grace Morgan scored three goals, while Chloe Harbilas and Kaybree Albright each scored twice.
