Key Vikings: Sr. RB/DB Alex Waked (754 yards rushing, six TDs); Sr. WR/DB Brayde Hill (331 yards receiving, four TDs) ; Jr. TE/LB Tucker Olivito (54 tackles).

Breakdown: Newport Harbor, which comes into the game tied for second in the Sunset League with Huntington Beach, can move closer to clinching a CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division playoff berth by beating the Vikings … The Sailors can clinch a berth this week if the three top teams in the league standings all win. League leader Edison plays Fountain Valley on Friday and Huntington Beach plays Los Alamitos … Hasson had a huge game in the Sailors’ win over Los Alamitos last week with a career-high 258 yards rushing and three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) … George Pascoe, the former longtime Huntington Beach High coach, is in his second year as the Vikings’ head man … Marina has not won a league game since 2004 but played Fountain Valley close last week before falling, 24-20 … Since 2007, Newport Harbor has won its four league games against Marina by a combined score of 181-14.
