SAN MATEO — Corona del Mar won twice at Serra Friday to advance to Saturday’s quarterfinals.
Ben Zepfel scored four goals in a 14-6 win over Serra Saturday morning.
Jake Wyatt had four goals, one assists and one steal in the Sea Kings’ 18-7 win over American River. Ari Marks had three goals, Matt Sherburne had three goals, Zepfel had two goals and two assists and Wes Sherburne had two goals and one assist for CdM (20-5).
Goalie AJ Santa Maria made six saves and goalie Patrick McKenzie made two saves for the Sea Kings who play at 1:50 p.m. Saturday at Bellarmine Prep in San Jose.

COSTA MESA — Liana Korber swept at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, to highlight the win for the Lightning, who finished second in the Academy League Friday.
Molly Wang swept at No. 2 singles, while Sage Hill (16-4, 8-2 in league) swept in doubles, dropping just four total games.

SANTA BARBARA — Corona del Mar High advanced to Saturday’s 10:45 a.m. semifinals against Marymount with a pair of wins in the Tournament of Champions at Santa Barbara High on Friday.
CdM opened with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-19 win over Salinas, then topped Mira Costa, 28-26, 25-22, 24-26, 25-17, in the qaurterfinals.
Britton Taylor had 28 combined kills, Haley Hodson had 23 and Grace Kennedy had 21 for the Sea Kings.

SANTA BARBARA — Newport Harbor High split a pair of matches at the Tournament of Champions and will play Archbishop Mitty in Saturday’s ninth-place semifinal at 10:45 a.m. at Dos Pueblos High.
The Tars fell to Mira Costa, 25-16, 25-22, 25-23, in the opening round at Santa Barbara High, then defeated Salinas, 25-15, 25-21, 25-12, at Dos Pueblos.
Cinnamon Sary had 29 combined kills in the two matches.
