CORONA DEL MAR — Haley Hodson led the host Sea Kings with nine kills in the 25-11, 25-20, 25-7 Pacific Coast League-opening sweep on Thursday.
Alexis Cage (seven kills), Brooke Dunning (six), Jenna Johnson (five) and Grace Kennedy (five) also contributed for CdM (8-4), ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Divison 1-AA.
The Sea Kings will play host to Newport Harbor in the Battle of the Bay at 7 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Emma Griffith had six kills for the Eagles, who lost the Orange Coast League mach, 25-12, 25-22, 25-23, Thursday.
Eliza Jason had four kills and Kai Huber had seven digs for Estancia (5-7, 1-1 in league).

COSTA MESA — Sophomore Morgan Miller won both of her sets at No. 2 singles to pace the host Eagles in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.
Miller posted 6-0, 6-1 victories before being subbed out as Estancia (6-6, 3-1 in league) dominated.
The Eagles return to action Tuesday against Calvary Chapel at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center.

IRVINE — Shelby Anderson and Olivia Dajee both swept in singles for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League match Thursday.
Anderson won 6-4, 6-2, 6-0.
Dajee won 6-0, 6-1, 6-0.
Kenzie Purcifull and Riley Gerdau swept at No. 1 doubles 6-2, 6-1, 6-0, while Sophia Chen and Siena Sharf swept at No. 2 doubles 6-2, 6-1, 6-0 for CdM (7-3).
CdM will play host to Woodbridge in a key league match Tuesday at 3 p.m.
