COSTA MESA — Dong-Gi Shin had two goals and Baji Chela had a goal and two assists to pace the host Pirates in the nonconference game Wednesday.

Antonio Gonzalez added three assists for the winners (2-1), who received goals from Matthew Stickler, Jesus Estrada and Takuma Hori.

Tyler Folkins had four saves for OCC, which visits Victor Valley on Friday at 2 p.m.

ATHERTON — Lauren Skachenko had two goals, Lindsey Holman-Kelly had a goal and assist and Jordan Cleary added two assists for the visiting Lions on the nonconference game Wednesday.

Vanguard (3-0) amassed a 44-3 edge in shots.

Goalkeepers Paige Sikes and Lauren Terry (two saves) combined to earn the shutout.
