Orange Empire Conference meet
SANTA ANA — Marcus Mercado-Kiel shot even-par 72 to share medalist honors and lead Orange Coast to a 7-0 finish on Wednesday at Santa Ana Country Club.
Mercado-Kiel was co-medalist with Crockett Stearns of Irvine Valley.
Jaime Moreno (74), Chris Cochran (78), Mike Squillace (79) and Adam Oser (80) also scored for the Pirates, who are 34-1 in the OEC.
OCC shot 383 to win, while Santiago Canyon (389), Palomar (391), Saddleback (395), Cuyamaca (396), Cypress (401), Riverside (404) and Irvine Valley (435) followed.

Doubleheader
COSTA MESA — Freshman Brittany Boggs drove in five of Vanguard’s seven runs in the two games as the host Lions earned the nonconference sweep over Doane of Nebraska on Wednesday.
Boggs was one for three with two runs batted in in a 4-3 Game 1 victory, then went two for three with three RBIs in a 3-1 win in Game 2.
Taylor Hallahan was three for three in the second game and four for six on the day, while Kari Bergerson and Adriana Venezia had three hits apiece in the two games combined.
Rachel Stalford and Stacie Salazar each had complete-game victories for the Lions (20-15).
Doane is 8-10.

COSTA MESA — Rebecca Kendrick went two for three with four runs batted in and one run for the Pirates in the nonconference game Wednesday.
Nicolette Lujan went three for four with one RBI and one run, while Alosina Skipps went two for three for OCC (8-19), which had its rally come up short in the seventh inning with three runs. Lujan belted a solo home run in the seventh.
